UAE Pavilion Wins Prestigious Golden Lion Award at Venice Architecture Biennale

The UAE National Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale just won the Golden Lion!!!

Congratulations to architects Wael Al Awar and Kenichi Teramoto (top rtl), and to @nyuabudhabi engineers Kemal Celik (CITIES Investigator), Rotana Hay, and Inderjeet Singh (CITIES Postdoctoral Associate), (bottom ltr) who developed the sustainable, waste-using, durable, and energy-saving alternative to cement used in the installation.
