Dr Barry Sanders is Director of the Institute for Quantum Science and Technology at the University of Calgary, Lead Investigator of the Alberta Major Innovation Fund Project on Quantum Technologies, a Distinguished Chair Professor at the University of Science and Technology China and a Vajra Visiting Faculty member of the Raman Research Institute in India.

Dr. Eva-Marie Muller-Stuler is leading the Data & AI practice for Ernst & Young for MENA. She is responsible for the development and implementation of complex data science and AI projects and transformations. Previously, Dr. Muller-Stuler was CTO for AI and Chief Data Scientist at IBM.

Her current research interests include developing machine learning models to inform decision-making in healthcare, representation learning for large-scale multi-modal data, interpretability, and fairness and ethics of AI.

Alkhzaimi has a specific expertise in Cryptology; cryptanalysis, constructing and validating security hardware and software components, constructing trusted security architectures for different environments in different products for the respective industries.

A self-confessed techie and former professional gamer, Marcos joined 42 Abu Dhabi as CTO from Abu Dhabi investment giant Mubadala, where he was responsible for managing a AED 320M portfolio of commercial contracts provided by the sovereign investment entity’s business management services.

Hailing from Brazil, Marcos draws on extensive business development and technical experience weaned from roles with blue-chip organizations across the globe to oversee the development of 42 Abu Dhabi’s technology infrastructure.

Farias joined TII as a Junior Researcher in the Quantum Algorithms group in September 2021.

She is responsible for multiple large teams across the Middle East & Africa. For her, innovation is literally driven by inclusion, across all levels of technology, skill and experiences, from graduates just starting out, through to thought leaders, specialists, architects and advocates, who help and advise IBM’s clients to accelerate and transform their business across all industries and into the fourth, cognitive, industrial revolution.

He is researching quantum algorithms and applications aimed at near-term quantum devices.

Kanav Setia is a co-founder and CEO of qBraid, a quantum computing startup. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Dartmouth College in 2020. His research focuses on developing quantum algorithms for simulating fermionic systems. He has interned twice at IBM and previously worked on the microelectromechanical system-based accelerometers and gyroscopes. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST).

Paul D. Miller is a fellow at the Yale University Center for Creative Arts and Media with a Residency focusing on the intersections of art and quantum physics and is a composer, multimedia artist, and writer whose work immerses audiences in a blend of genres, global culture, and environmental and social issues. Miller has collaborated with an array of recording artists, including Metallica, Chuck D, Steve Reich, and Yoko Ono.
