startAD and Khalifa Fund launch Ibtikari 5.0, a five-month incubator for Emirati entrepreneurs, aimed at helping technology startups advance their businesses

The fifth edition of Ibtikari will be an intensive five-month incubator aimed at helping UAE nationals advance their technology startups. Scheduled to take place between September 29, 2019 to February 20, 2020 at NYU Abu Dhabi, Ibtikari is open to startups with at least one UAE national partner. The deadline to submit an application is September 10, 2019.

12 teams will be identified through a rigorous evaluation process which will include an online application and an in-person interview. Shortlisted teams will be selected based on their proposed concept, the project’s potential market reach, as well as its prototype or product.

Bi-Weekly Workshops & Mentorship Sessions: November 1 – February 20, 2020

Ibtikari Startup Showcase Day: February, 20, 2020

The program constitutes a series of training sessions, one-on-one meetings with Ibtikari mentors and introductions to key corporate partners, prospective clients, and experts in the industry locally and globally to help startups expand their network and advance their businesses. startAD’s investment advisors will schedule regular meetings with the teams to provide detailed feedback on their business model and external investments it could likely attract.

Participants will also be considered for potential financial and non-financial support from Khalifa Fund if they meet the fund criteria.
