Anna Kurkova is a multi-disciplinary artist and educator. She holds a BA in Visual Arts from NYUAD, and an MA in Art History and Museum Management from Sorbonne University. Kurkova’s creative research uses sculptural installation, printmaking, painting, and drawing to explore the impact and significance of the patchwork of sacred and public spaces at the intersection of the urban landscape and natural ecosystems. Kurkova is the winner of Christo and Jeanne Claude Art Prize 2017 and has exhibited her work at multiple galleries in the UAE. At NYUAD, Anna manages Mixed Media Art, Printmaking, and Dark Room studios, as well as the Cube exhibition platform, and supports the Art & Art History program through research and teaching activities.
