This project represents the coming together of two previous projects within Al-Mashhad (AY 23-24), Pettee and Gulf Homes. Both addressed migration to the Gulf, combining multiple disciplines and modes of exploration \u2013 choreography, movement, sound and text for Pettee; anthropological research, visual arts, and conversations for Gulf Homes. They explored the modes of mobility and the trajectories of those who move, their relationship to the places they land in, and the fragile materiality of their lives in the Gulf.<\/span><\/p>\n
