Who produces UAE\u2019s archaeological pasts? Is it the South Asian workers who dig at a site, the European archaeologists who manage them, or the Emirati heritage officials who authorise these excavations? This project emerges from questions that arose during my research in sites of archaeological production in the UAE, including an experimental archaeological lab at NYUAD and multiple archaeological sites in Umm Al Quwain.<\/span><\/p>\n
