He has received the Sultan Padamsee Playwriting Award twice &#8211; for his ground-breaking text <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Undaunted <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in 2020 and for his satirical comedy <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ultimate Kurukshetra <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in 2011. Ram\u2019s practice-led research has been\u00a0 awarded multiple fellowships and grants; his plays have been performed internationally and have been translated into Hindi, Kannada, Marathi and German. He was a Felix Scholar at\u00a0 SOAS, London where he earned an MA in the Anthropology of Media, and was a Lee Foundation Scholar at RSIS, NTU Singapore where he earned an MSc in International Relations. Three systems form the basis of Ram\u2019s physical vocabulary: climbing, the Japanese system of Bujinkan Bud\u014d Taijutsu where he is a 4th Dan black belt holder, and Kalaripayattu. Ram has consulted with UNESCO on edutech and the prevention of violent extremism (PVE), and works in peacebuilding initiatives.
