K R Sunil is a photographer based in Kerala who<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>is known for his human interest photographs and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>stories. Growing up during the late 80s and 90s –<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>on the cusp of two generations – he often became<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>a poignant witness to traditions and ways of life<\/span> t<\/span>hat were disappearing before his very eyes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>These early encounters amidst a fast-changing<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>world became crucial in inspiring the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>p<\/span>hotographic journeys he would make later. From<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>his very early forays into photography Sunil<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>sought to capture and preserve the essence of what makes each of them unmistakably human.<\/span><\/p>\n Over the years, his body of work has come to reflect a few inherently recognizable themes that have become the trademark of Sunil\u2019s repertoire. Maritime history, nature, and life in port towns are a few such themes.
