Our first panel, \u201cRights In and Out of Place,\u201d reflects on how nation-states both uphold and inhibit calls for universal human rights. Our second panel, \u201cRights In and Out of Sight,\u201d wrestles with visibility as\u00a0<span class=\"il\">a<\/span>\u00a0powerful yet problematic metaphor for the search for recognition. Our third panel, &#8220;Rights on Location,&#8221; discusses Susan Mieselas&#8217;s photojournalism. Our culminating roundtable, \u201c(Re-)Locating Rights,\u201d brings all our guests together for an interdisciplinary discussion on alternative possibilities.<\/p>\n<p><b>Guests<\/b>: Roberto Casati (Institut J.
