About Us

The NYUAD Global Asia Initiative is an interdisciplinary network of scholars and practitioners engaging in research on Asia with an emphasis on mobility and connectivity. It is a platform for scholars to discuss work in progress, host talks by external speakers, collaborate on curricular development, and host related events.

For three years, beginning in AY21-22, the NYUAD Global Asia Initiative is a partner to the Luce Foundation grant, ‘Port City Environments in Global Asia: Research and Pedagogies for Redesigning Studies of Asia,’ with NYU’s New York Center for Global Asia and NYU Shanghai’s Center for Global Asia.
