On May 3rd, 2023, CITIES, in partnership with the Engineering department, hosted an Engineering Seminar Series featuring Junaid Khan, who presented his research on “AFFIRM, a privacy-by-design blockchain for mobility data in Web3 using information-centric fog networking with collaborative learning”. During the seminar, Junaid Khan delved into the innovative framework he developed, which facilitated secure, efficient, and scalable generation, validation, storage, and retrieval of mobility data while prioritizing user privacy. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the potential applications and implications of this cutting-edge technology in the field of urban mobility and beyond.
