 Investments and developments of energy assets in urban and suburban environments will be critical to the energy transition. These examples include mobility and power generation projects. The challenges include land utilization & permits, public acceptance, prior capital allocations, and expected returns for these assets.


Norman Blake is a Vice President of Business Development at ADNOC Distribution, and he oversees the investment and development of the company’s energy assets, including sustainable investments, electric vehicle infrastructure, new service station network development, and managing existing portfolio investments. With 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, project investments, and energy development—including renewable energy, conventional power, and venture capital—Blake completed his first solar project in 2008. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of South Florida and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
